2011 HS Senior – Brittney – Bakersfield Photographer

After talking to her mom for months on the phone, I was so excited to finally meet this HS Senior for her well-planned and thought out photo shoot! We had the yellow couch, warm beautiful sun, and a trunk full of clothes and shoe options! Brittney is such a sweet girl and it was a pleasure to work with this naturally talented model/cheerleader/dancer and future Air Force rock star! Here are a few of my favorites:

Invest in Yourself -Mike Colon Workshop- Professional Photographer

He said it so casually, “Invest in yourself, Jessica. You’re worth it”. My wonderful, supportive husband responded when I questioned if I should invest in heading to a workshop put on my Mike Colon himself, photography rock star, at his home during the week in Newport Beach, CA. Take some time off, hone your craft, learn from an expert…what a simple concept. I love how much I’ve grown in the past 2 years being a full time business owner and photographer and can’t wait to continue my education and increase my skills and knowledge in wedding photography. So, I did just that. I’ve spent the past 48 hours immersed in Mike’s workshop soaking in his 15+ years of knowledge and expertise that I can’t wait to bring back to the business! Thanks again to the amazing other photographers I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know over 70-200mm fun, PF Changs, and Bumping! You guys rock!
Happy Freyday! Have an amazing weekend and keep pushing yourself no matter what industry you work in to be the best you can!

Happy Birthday Elle!!!! This sweet girl is walking, smiling and is such a joyful little girl. I had the pleasure of meeting her parents when she was in the womb for maternity photos! Since then, I’ve gotten to know the Adams family and feel so honored to be able to photograph their growing family…newborn photos, Christmas photos, and now her 1 year old pictures! We had a blast at the park, and what kid doesn’t love balloons! Happy Birthday, enjoy your party Elle and keep squeeking! <3 Tita Jessica

It was so good getting to see one of my best girlfriends, and fellow military wife, and dress their little girl up in the cutest Aggie tutu. Congratulations you guys! You’re little family is precious and it was wonderful getting to see you and meet Meghan!

Fun relaxed 7 month old portraits – Professional Photographer

Babies everywhere! It’s that time in my life where many of my girlfriends are transitioning from husband and wife to starting their little families. It’s an exciting time to visit each other and see their new additions and last week was no exception! This session was one I’d been looking to for a while since I only get to see Andria about once a year now. We were roomates in Maryland, lived together while our boys were overseas, I was her matron of honor, and now I get to meet their newest addition…. Miss Aubree! Andria is also an amazing photographer and wanted a relaxed session where she’s in front of the camera with her little girl. We had a great time capturing little moments and Aubree in the tutu I got her before she was here! Congrats Andria & Kevin, she’s beautiful and I’m beyond thrilled for our Texas reunion!!
Love you Andria and so excited we’ve had some time to hang out and take photos of sweet baby Aubree!

Another Texas Freyday – Professional Wedding Photographer

About me…..I love: love. I love weddings. I love knowing that I get to capture that love I LOVE sparkles. I love diamonds. I’m slightly obsessed with Say Yes to the Dress (my new SIL and I watched like 3 hours straight on Monday), and all things wedding. So what? Well, this trip to Texas has been surrounded by love and I figured that would be today’s obvious choice for a Freyday post.
My best friend since I was in 5th grade, Maureen & her fiancee Alan along with my brother and his fiancee Megan are both currently planning their weddings and this week was the first time I’d seen either since they got engaged! The first thing I did to both Maureen and Megan (as any curious girl would do) was grab their left hand and stare at all the sparkles The second thing I did (because it’s all a part of my job!) was politely steal ask for said ring while I ran off with my camera. I promise I gave them back, but I love shooting details so much that why not use this opportunity to get some amazing engagement ring shots?! SO, without further adieu, I present 2 stunningly sparkly rings!

Texas Engagements – Texas Wedding Photographer

My little brother is getting married!!! To the sweetest woman I might ad I was so excited to photograph Jason and Megan for their engagement session this past weekend on her parent’s horse farm. Horses, two beautiful people, their sweet dogs, and the Texas sky….what could be better? So, Congratulations you two…welcome to the family, Megan! Looking forward to being a big part of your special day!!
