Lindsay – San Diego Photo Shoot
April 9, 2012
Spring is here – and spring break has come and gone which only means that another group of individuals is preparing to graduate!! My friend Lindsay is just a few weeks away from graduating from college in San Diego and rightfully so wanted to get some graduation photos taken! I was heading down to Coronado last week and figured that would be the perfect place to utilize the gorgeous evening SoCal sun
We did the ‘business attire’ head shots, the casual garden shots and ended our evening with bare feet, rolled up jeans and the salty beachy air blowing hair everywhere
So, congratulations Lindsay and thank you for asking me to capture this special time in your life!! Good luck with finals and enjoy the college life while you can!!!! (And thank you to Lindsay’s friend & wedding planner Brindy for being a wonderful assistant and reflector holder!!)
Here are a few of my favorites – leave her some love and congratulations in the comment box below!
And now for some sunset beach time near the Coronado Del Mar hotel!

Freyday – Austin in March!
March 16, 2012
Howdy y’all! I’ve been home in Austin now for almost a week and have had such a great time catching up with old friends, photographing them and eating my fair share of Tex-Mex goodness
I figured I would share some images that if you don’t follow me on Facebook (hi Mom!) you haven’t seen yet! My first session was with my good friend Adrienne, her husband Karl and their sweet sweet little baby girl! We had a great time heading back to our old stomping grounds and I’m excited to say I’ve now officially been dubbed their personal family photographer
Enjoy some of the images from this week’s sessions and have a great weekend – Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!!

One of my best friends in High School was Amy aka “Mamma”- and it’s been so great seeing how blessed her family has been and finally get to meet her little girls! Amy and David are expecting their 3rd so we did a quick couples/maternity/family shoot while we were both home
Congratulations you guys!

My good friend Brooke met up with me for an afternoon of commercial/fashion/headshot photos and we had a blast during our “Sequence in the Country” shoot!

I also had the privilege of photographing Presley for her HS Senior photos! Such a beautiful and sweet girl – good luck next year at A&M!! Whoop!

Freyday – Photo Shoot with Frontier HS Photography students!
October 21, 2011
It’s Freyday!!! (You know, Friday…just a reminder they are pronounced the same, Brent) So, this Wednesday I got the opportunity to hang out with Frontier High School’s advance photography class while they shot around downtown Bakersfield. Their teacher, Mrs. Kimball is a fellow photographer and friend of mine and I was really excited to get to help out, watch them work and hopefully teach them about a few mistakes I made that they can learn from
I had my first photography class back in 1997 with Mr. Holt and it was one of my favorite classes in High School! This group was really good and knew how to operate their cameras in manual mode – and we even had fun messing with their settings to help them get back to where they needed to be for proper exposure. Fellow photographers Jennifer Williams, Lauryn Maurette & Andrew Skelton joined in on the fun along with some fabulous models arranged to give them a lot to work with – a couple, 2 gorgeous female models, a male model with a guitar and even a band! Guys – I hope you had fun! Let me know if you have questions, I’d love to help out anyway I can!

Americana + Rockabilly HS Senior Photos
August 15, 2011
Class of 2012 – Miranda
Miss Miranda has been planning her HS Senior photos for a few months now getting all the details perfect for the look she was going for – from finding the perfect pair of shoes, to her 2 hair styles, to using the Navy sailor hat that’s been in her military family for 30 + years. This girl had it figured out (photographers dream! yea!!) and once we decided on a location, she made my job easy! I absolutely love how her rockabilly style was infused with retro American/Military touches and am so excited to show off a few of my favorites! Thank you to mom & dad for being great assistants and to Sheila Aamodt who did Miranda’s hair and makeup at La Ti Da Salon on 2025 18th Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301. – Sheila, you did an amazing job!!! She looks incredible
