Freyday – Walt Disney World Cast Member!
Hey guys – it’s another “Lets get to know the girl behind the camera” Freyday! Many of you know that I am a Disney fan….that I choose to use the word “passionate” not “obsessed” as my mom would say! Well, that passion landed me an internship while I was in College as part of Walt Disney World’s College Program for my Spring semester in 2002. It was the most amazing experience and yesterday while I was in my storage room I found my name tags – hence, our inspiration for today’s blog post!
I was assigned to Toon Town in the Magic Kingdom as an Attraction and Character Hostess 🙂 That means Mickey and I were tight and I got to spend most of my day hanging out with princesses and characters and operate a kiddy roller coaster. Oh yea. I actually really loved my job and working with all of my fellow cast members and the amazing friends and roommates I had at Vista Way! I’m sad to say that Toon Town is now gone in Orlando to make room for the new extension for Fantasy Land…bummer!! While on the program, I also attended Disney University – classes designed to teach us the Disney way of customer service and management…..I even got my Ducktorate after completing my semester!!! And yes, you read that correctly 🙂
I scanned in a few images I was able to find – I had film 35mm basic cameras while there, so just bear with me on the quality and enjoy an inside look at my life 10 years ago!! (And yes, I was into using “Sun In” to be a blonde during that time in my life 🙂

Oh looks like soooo much fun!!!! We absolutely LOVE Disneyland! Shall I steal your word and say we are very “passionate” about it! 😉 We haven’t been to WDW yet. Some day. Well your pics definitely made me smile! How lucky you were to have had that experience 🙂
