Engagement Photos – Natalie & Jacob

Last Sunday, Bakersfield had an epic dust/dirt/wind storm….so naturally, I was a bit nervous for my scheduled engagement shoot with Natalie & Jacob up on her family land in Keene, but thankfully we had nothing but sunshine, blue skies and no dust! It was such a fun shoot and the love these two have for one another was radiating! Engagement Photos – Jessica & Paul

I am soooo excited! Jessica & Paul are the last wedding I’m able to book for 2013 and I couldn’t be more excited to photograph their special day this November! I love when I meet potential clients and have that gut feeling that they’ll be wonderful to work with and these two were no exception – you could see how much love they had for one another, how easy going and fun they were and Jessica’s laugh was just so contagious! I had a blast getting to know them last week for their engagement session and am excited to show them off here on the blog. Congratulations you two!!!

Wow. I’m so excited for our industry! In the past few years I’ve really put myself out there meeting other wedding photographers from around the country and have met some incredible people…people who will be lifelong friends…people who encourage and support me and who I know are only a phone call/text or Skype away! Those friends, and my incredible husband have pushed me to act upon the pull at my heart to help those wanting to learn wedding photography. Last weekend, with the help of some absolutely incredible vendors, we hosted the 3rd wedding workshop and I’d have to say it was the best one so far! Our location was incredible, we increased it to 6 hours of learning and shooting time and the attendees came ready full of questions and the photos I’ve already seen from them are fantastic! I met some of my favorite photographer friends at workshops and it was wonderful to see these 5 chatting up, carpooling and enjoying their mutual passion of capturing photos! Evelyn, Sasha, Angel, Bryan and Brooke, you guys were wonderful to work with and I’m so excited to see your progress…thank you from the bottom of my heart for attending the workshop!

I’m so excited to show off more images of our wedding photography workshop this past weekend hosted at a private farm in Santa Barbara! My inspiration was mint + blush pink + lace and rustic, and I’m so thankful for all of our incredible vendors who came on board and our amazing models….Kalli & Ryan, Alli & Jason and Stephanie & Kevin! They were such an easy going bunch that worked wonderfully as I went through wedding day scenarios with our attendees and we practiced posing and communicating to them. Plus, they’re all super gorgeous people, right?!?! Beautiful on the inside and out – and we’re all so thankful for you guys! Sunday was the epitome of a perfect, beautiful wedding day!! The styled wedding shoot + photography workshop that I’ve had in my head for months came together flawlessly due to some incredible vendors who are so creative and fantastic at bringing an idea to life. Our “Rustic” farm wedding with mint and blush colors, plus lace, roses and baby’s breath was absolutely stunning and I was so happy for our photography attendees to have such a beautiful ‘wedding’ to learn and practice with! We had almost 6 hours of time together at a private farm in Santa Barbara that included 3 hours of ‘classroom’ talks and 3 hours of shooting time! Thank you to all the photographers who came out, asked incredible questions and came with amazing attitudes!
