The Little Mermaid Inspired Teal & Coral Wedding!
October 3, 2012
Did you see Monday’s post with our Fairy Tale Little Mermaid wedding details?! (HERE) Now we have Part 2 for you with more of our amazing bride and groom and ideas for your princess-inspired/beach/nautical/coral & teal wedding!
A year ago, I combined my love of Disney princesses with my wedding photography to help inspire brides today who wanted to create a modern and elegant wedding inspired by elements of Fairy Tales! After producing a Snow White, Sleeping Beauty & Beauty & the Beast weddings we’ve now created an amazing nautical/beach wedding with some great touches from our favorite, The Little Mermaid!! I didn’t want to do a ‘beach’ wedding per se and really wanted it to speak to the love story between Ariel & Eric. I wanted to incorporate touches of Ariel’s love for humans, while also including their new world together….while also having touches of ‘the sea’! With the help of some amazing vendors and friends, we headed to a beach in beautiful Malibu, CA – fought the crowds and set up a mini wedding!!!
I hope these details inspire you to dream big and design your wedding using modern and classy details!! Congratulations to all you Disney brides out there – let us know what you think!!
This coral tie is amazing…look close, it’s a paisley inspired OCTOPUS! Just a little nod to Ursula ;)
Ryan wanted to get in on the ‘comb my hair with a dinglehopper’ action

Can you find our ‘funny’ on this menu card created by Matinae Design Studio?!
Little Mermaid perfect shoes!!! These crystals were gorgeous and constantly changing from teal to green to yellow to coral!
This gorgeous Maggie Sottero & Amalee Accessory belt were such a modern concept for a ‘mermaid’ style gown don’t you think?!?!

Excellent as usual. Was the surprise that MAINE lobster was misspelled on the menu????

Every detail was captured! I had to look at them several times and every time I saw something I
missed the first time!!! My favorite is the Amalee belt then starfish on cake and on suit! -
Unbelieveble….like always! Congrats on the pick up by Disney.

The most amazing shoes I’ve ever seen…custom created by A Glass Slipper by Duchess Design! You send Jennie your shoes, she creates a masterpiece made out of swarovski crystals! This pair have over 7500 hand placed Swarovski crystals using the colors Vitrial Medium that shifts from sea green to coral. You can’t find a more perfect fit for a Little Mermaid inspired wedding, right?!
We had to have real fish…..swimming amongst a wrecked ship…surrounded by human treasure!!
Our beautiful cake! And yes…it’s topped with a snarfblatt.

I love the magical weddings you create.

So, so, so pretty! I love all the details. I think you need to collect all the stationery you’ve done shoots or workshops with this year and somehow do an end of the year wrap up post with them. They’re too pretty not to be photographed again! See you tomorrow darling!
