October 19, 2011
Part 2 today….more photos of this fun couple! Ricky & Marissa’s Rio Bravo CC wedding was so much fun to photograph….who doesn’t love a man in uniform and a gorgeous bride?! After their ceremony, we were able to utilize the golf course to get some shots of just the two of them along with their wedding party! Marissa chose purple gowns for her bridesmaids and it went so well with the grey suits and green details on the groomsmen. If you missed Part 1, check it out here: Marissa & Ricky Ceremony
Congratulations again you two!!!

Jon & Mary's Green & Purple wedding – Part 1
October 10, 2011
Congratulations, Jon & Mary!! These two had such a fun and relaxed outdoor wedding last weekend here in Bakersfield – although by using a private residence that blew me away you would have never known we weren’t in a luscious jungle somewhere in an exotic location! I was in awe of the gorgeous jungle-like feel that they were able to utilize and build their wedding around and I’m pretty sure I mentioned both Jumanji and the set of Lost at least twice. The details of purple and green went beautifully with the decor and we had a lot of fun walking all over the property getting some great shots! Here are some of my favorites of the details and of Mary & Jon during and after their first look. Wishing you two a lifetime of happiness – thank you for letting me capture your special day!
Mary, you are gorgeous!!
Jon & Mary chose to do a First Look – and with a ceremony that started as the sun was setting, I was excited to be able to take all of their photos before hand to not only enjoy the great light but to provide them with some wonderful time together to relax, breath and embrace the joy of the day! Both of these two told me as we were getting prepared for their reveal that their hearts were racing with nerves and excitement at getting to see one another. Having that moment to watch and photograph the first few seconds that they see each other for the first time on their wedding day is always a special and emotional moment for us to photograph. Mary looked stunning and Jon was so excited to see his future wife! Sorry Jon…had to show off the love you have for Mary – and I love the last photo of you giving me that look
Thanks for being such a great sport!
Check back with us on Wednesday to see their ceremony and wedding party photos!! Special thanks to Casey Hardy for second shooting with me

Stockdale Country Club Reception – Bakersfield Wedding
June 22, 2011
Part 2 of Dominic & Briana’s Bakersfield wedding is now here! Here are my favorites from their beautiful ceremony, reception…and of course some great bride & groom shots at the beautiful Stockdale Country Club! I’m a huge fan of cathedral veils and we weren’t disapointed as Briana’s caught in the wind for some great photo opportunities! These two were so much fun to work with and made my job easy with all the gazing into each other’s eyes and fabulous family and friends surrounding them. I also had amazing vendors to work with, and a list of them along with their information can be found at the bottom of the page. Thank you to the families and friends who made this such a fun and beautiful wedding!

The ‘kitchen sink pose…wait, you don’t do dishes-hug’ Oh Dominic, great job on this one! (sorry for the inside joke, guys!)

What an elegant day! Love the dance photos with the bride/dad and mom/groom. These almost feel like scenes from a movie because they were so perfectly captured.

OMG – I am crying all over again !!!!!
Gonna have to re-apply mascara – AGAIN!!! -
I have sent these all on to Rachelle. Not nearly like being there, but she will love them! Thank you so much for the privilege of seeing this beautiful couple begin their life together. My tears flowed when Dominic and his mom danced!

Freyday – Cinderella Birthday Party!
May 6, 2011
A Cinderella Birthday Party!
Well, 29 is looking pretty good so far and started off with a fabulous birthday party! For some reason, I decided to really celebrate this birthday with a party and go all out (with the hopes that the next will be celebrated in Bora Bora or somewhere exotic…haha!). I am so blessed to have a sweet husband, amazing friends and family, and some rockstar vendor friends who helped me celebrate! The weekend started off with possibly one of the best surprises ever…..one of my best friends from Texas surprised me and came to California to hang out for 3 days and be at my party! Katelyn, you are amazing and I can’t thank you enough for being here and for being such an awesome friend! Thanks to my hubby for all of his help, to my in-laws for coming out to celebrate, to my life-group for letting loose and dressing up and to Colleen, my Fairy God Mother for helping me plan an adult Cinderella themed birthday party that looked gorgeous!
Bakersfield – if you are planning a party, I highly recommend checking out the work of my good friends: Gimme Some Sugar, House of Flowers, Little White Dress, Fairy Godmother Day of Wedding Planning, Kevin Rush Entertainment, Freestyle Entertainment, PM Custom Catering
My handsome husband…and my gorgeous dress from Little White Dress!
Ok, here are some shots of my CAKE. Yes, this is a cake…Stephanie from Gimme Some Sugar took my idea of Cinderella’s mother’s dress she originally intended to wear to the ball and made it into a beautiful birthday cake! I squealed when I saw it and couldn’t be more happy with how beautiful it turned out! It was so awesome, several guests didn’t realize it was a cake!
My Fairy Godmother and good friend Colleen!
Flowers from Amanda, House of Flowers! They’re so sweet and romantic!
My father-in-law being silly…and not realizing at all that his beard is in my cake! We all had a good laugh as he realized that wasn’t just a prop
He felt my dress needed a face, so that’s a Jessica balloon head…tiara included! Thanks David!
Actually cutting the cake was quite a scene! I didn’t want to do it! Thankfully Katelyn put the cake knife in my hands and Eric took the reigns and made it fun by making it an ‘exorcist’ cake with a backwards body
Oh, Eric.
We danced and watched the sunset over Bakersfield….and had an awesome time! Thank you everyone who came out to celebrate, I really appreciated it! I truly feel so blessed to be surrounded by some pretty amazing people. You all have made Bakersfield feel like home! And Jennifer Williams….my fabulous female photographer friend, THANK YOU for taking my Nikon and snapping the majority of these photos for me! I’m so glad I have some memories to share and put up on my wall! Oh, and as the evening wound down and the music continued, we got to celebrate the announcement of Osama bin Laden being killed later that night…and as Amanda put it, we’ll always remember that we were doing the Humpty Dance when we found out! Thanks Kevin for rocking some great music that made the party last too long…and a HUGE thank you to Jenny for letting me crash your upstairs patio! Love you all dearly and can’t wait to see what this year holds!!!
